Dentist Cost UK is committed to making the Site usable for as many people as possible, regardless of disability or assistive-technology use. This statement describes our current accessibility status, known issues and how to report problems.
1. Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. While this Site is not subject to the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018, we follow them as best practice.
2. What we do
- Use semantic HTML headings (one h1 per page, clear h2/h3 hierarchy) so screen readers can navigate efficiently.
- Maintain at least 4.5:1 colour contrast for body text against background.
- Use real text rather than text embedded in images.
- Provide descriptive alt text for non-decorative images and SVG icons.
- Support keyboard navigation throughout the Site. The cookie banner and main menu work without a mouse.
- Design for responsive layouts down to 320 px viewport width, with text reflow.
- Avoid auto-playing audio or video and disable AOS animations on mobile to reduce motion sensitivity issues.
- Keep page meta and JSON-LD structured data complete so assistive tools and AI assistants can extract content accurately.
3. Known issues
As of 18 May 2026, we are aware of the following items:
- The hero slider transitions automatically. We honour prefers-reduced-motion in CSS where possible.
- Some price tables on treatment detail pages may exceed viewport width on very small phones (under 360 px). They scroll horizontally in a clearly-marked container.
- PDF documents linked from third-party sources (NHS forms, NHSBSA posters) may not meet WCAG 2.1 AA — these are outside our control.
4. Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology
The Site is tested with the latest two versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge on desktop and mobile. We test screen-reader compatibility with VoiceOver (macOS / iOS) and NVDA (Windows). If you use an older browser or an unusual configuration and find something doesn't work, please tell us.
5. Reporting an accessibility problem
If you find something on the Site that you can't access, please email info@multiligo.com with:
- The page URL.
- A short description of the problem.
- The browser, operating system, and any assistive technology you're using (helpful but optional).
We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 working days and resolve them within 30 days where technically possible.
6. Enforcement
If you are not happy with how we respond to your accessibility report, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS): equalityadvisoryservice.com.
7. Statement preparation
